Summary of Software Engineering/ IT projects

2002-2003        
 Content Management System for Scripps
Designed Web content management system for Scripps Network (HGTV, FOODTV,
DIY, FINE LIVING) and Scripps owned newspapers. This system is Oracle and
Vignette based.  Worked on data modeling using Oracle Designer. Developed
several PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers and processes. Created several
Vignette /Tcl based templates for web content generation.

2000-2002        Oracle Financial Customizations for AT&T Wireless
Worked on several Oracle Financials custom extension projects for this client. All
projects where carried out with proper AIM documentation and testing procedures.
This project was a subcontract job through Cap Gemini Ernst & Young

  • Built custom interfaces to Oracle Financials 10.7 from an external asset
    tracking system. Designed and developed the tables and concurrent
    programs to carry out mass retirements, transfers, additions and re-classes
    in the Fixed Assets (FA) module. Created several PL/SQL packages,
    Developer 2000 Forms (NCA platform) and Reports.
  • Designed and developed custom extensions to the Oracle FA module to
    handle special leasing of assets in FA module. Concurrent programs,
    forms and reports developed. PL/SQL processes to calculate lease
    payments and insert lease expense and adjustment lines into GL interface
    table.
  • Designed and developed custom processes for extracting AR payment
    schedule data. Created custom reports for Cash receipts by customer.
  • Developed Supply management and Order management reports for Supply
    Chain project. Worked on Purchase Order (PO) and Sales Order (SO)
    modules. Created custom receipt range report, purchase order status report
    in PO module.
  • Developed PL/SQL procedures and SQL scripts for extracting de-normalized
    data from Oracle Financials into a reporting data warehouse. Worked on the
    Accounts Receivables (AR), Accounts Payables (AP), General Ledger (GL)
    and Oracle Inventory (INV) modules

1997-2001        Oracle Assets & Projects customization for Oracle Corporation
Oracle Financials version 11i, 11 and 10.7SC (Fixed Assets (FA), Projects Modules
(PA)) Product development and customization for the Utility companies.  
  • Lead developer and support specialist on the project. Developed custom
    product extensions to the Oracle Financials, FA and PA modules (10.7 and
    11i). Provided product implementation, data migration and support for
    various utility companies
  • Modified Pro*C code of the core financial application to suit new group asset
    depreciation concept. Developed several PL/SQL stored procedures,
    functions and concurrent programs. Modified the Pro*C journal posting
    program to post special group depreciation entries into GL. Modified Pro*C
    Mass Additions program to customize group asset additions and cost
    adjustments. Modified Pro*C Depreciation program to customize
    depreciation for group assets.
  • Modified forms using Developer 2000 (Forms 4.5). Enhancements and
    support of this product is on several UNIX platforms and on Window NT.
    Support for data conversion into Oracle
  • Migration of application extensions from 10.7SC to 11 and 11i (PL/SQL,
    Forms 4.5 to 6i, Pro*C). Incorporating custom changes when upgrading
    forms from version 10.7 to 11i
  • Used Oracle Workflow to modify the Account Generator process functionality
    for Utility Asset accounting. Modified PL/SQL processes to customize
    account generation.
  • Worked on migration of data from legacy systems into Oracle financials for
    Consolidated Natural Gas, Pittsburgh (Utility Company). Was part of the
    team that implemented the Financials 10.7 FA module
  • Developed several data fixes for Dayton Power & Light (Utility company).
    Developed PL/SQL procedures and triggers to carry out mass external
    asset retirements from Projects (PA) module in Fixed Assets module (FA)
  • Provided custom programming and Oracle Financials implementation help
    for Tuscon Electric Company
  • Developed custom interfaces from PA to FA. Mass additions from PA and
    mass external retirements of assets from PA. Processes where
    implemented in PL/SQL
  • Developed several custom concurrent programs and reports

1997-1999         Claims Management for Specialty Physician Network Designed
and developed a medical claims management system for specialty physician
network system. This system is used to convert and consolidate the insurance
claim information from various specialty practices into a central database. This
information is then used effectively to review and manage the claims. Developed
and installed an Oracle8 based system with Visual Basic GUI front end and Crystal
Reports.

1997             Payroll System development for Tennessee Valley Authority
Customized Oracle based Powersoft/ADP Payroll system product for TVA.
Designed and developed several interfaces to external systems and data
warehouse through PL/SQL Packages and triggers. Developed several conversion
procedures for data conversion from legacy systems. Developed custom reports
and PERL scripts.

1996-1997     Automated Time Reporting for Tennessee Valley Authority  Oracle
application development for the Automated Time Reporting (ATR) system at TVA.
User screen development using Developer 2000 forms, complex packaged
procedures/functions and triggers using PL*SQL. ATR is a fully distributed
database application with eight regional servers symmetrically replicated to a
central server.
